VRX is providing construction community liaison (CCL) services for contract QED-989, a $40 million water main replacements for the New York City Department of Design + Construction (DDC). CCL services include: community outreach to keep the public informed of project status and to minimize community construction impact. VRX is also providing advisory notifications and newsletters, tracking monthly issues, submitting weekly reports to the DDC and attending community board cabinet meetings.

Project scope includes replacement of 8-, 12-, 21- and 20-inch water mains and hydrants, gate valves, fire hydrants, transferring all building water service lines to new mains and restoring roadway surfaces in seven locations throughout Queens. Other work includes:

• Excavation of water main trenches
