VRX provided program management and oversight of installations of officer safety-related items for 28 land ports of entry along the entire southern U.S. border. VRX managed 10 project managers handling individual port projects. Responsibilities include securing appropriate government clearances, upholding CBP project goals and standards in the interest of national security and assisting port officials in the coordination of work in an effort to minimize operational impacts.
VRX coordinated, determining project needs and objectives and prioritizing projects within budget constraints as well as determining, writing and/or editing project scopes of work.
This included evaluation of original scope elements and establishment of alternate scope elements as well as functioning as the point of contact with the General Services Administration and its contractors OFO PMO in Washington, D.C. Upon evaluation, VRX made scope and budget recommendations to port and PMO officials.
VRX informed all stakeholders of or includes them in updates on the design and construction direction.
VRX staff managed and tracked all aspects of schedule for adjustment or compliance and track associated budgets and negotiations, approving or rejecting changes as necessary.
Additionally, VRX participates in regular site reviews during construction for quality concerns, coordinating with the contractor and contract manager to address any program issues. VRX also ensures LEED Standards are met.
