Chisholm Trail Parkway, a limited-access toll road in southwest Tarrant and northwest Johnson County, is under construction. The toll road will extend from Fort Worth’s central business district to southwest Fort Worth, continuing south to Cleburne, providing an alternate north-south route for Interstate Highway 35W.
VRX is providing environmental compliance for the North Texas Tollway Authority’s 13.1-mile 4- to 6-lane divided toll road, Chisholm Trail Parkway Section 2B. In this role, VRX is responsible for conducting on-site environmental subsurface investigations for contaminated soil discovered within the construction right-of-way limits. Additional responsibilities include preparing on-site sampling activity reports; and coordinating waste classification and waste disposal with construction management, corridor management, the City of Fort Worth and the Union Pacific Railroad. VRX also provided a plan of action to address the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s remediation requirements.
