VRX, Inc. is acting as an extension of staff to American Airlines, providing senior personnel to complement American’s Project Management Team.

As an extension of staff, we are responsible for all aspects of program management, including day-to-day coordination with the Design Team and Contractor; quality control; cost control; scheduling; evaluating constructability; and coordinating with airline operations and Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ).

American Airlines (AA) has committed to expand and modify Terminal 8 (T-8) at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to enhance capacity and continue to provide a smooth passenger experience to its customers. In partnership with PANYNJ, AA and British Airways (BA) will collocate BA’s JFK operation to T-8 by late 2022.
The project will add two wide-body gates, modifying existing gates, and include paving a portion of the T-8 ramp. This portion will hold a new hardstand pad capable of accommodating three wide-body aircraft with a new associated taxi lane. A major part of this work includes the modification and expansion of the existing Baggage Handling System (BHS). AA and BA will also expand the fourth-level lounge complex to create joint AA/BA premium lounges.
