As of 2024, VRX, Inc. has begun work in Arizona for the first time in the company’s history. VRX is part of a team of consultants working on an alternative-delivery program to build critical infrastructure for the Hualapai Tribe, a federally recognized Tribe with a name that means “People of the Tall Pines.” The Tribe was established in 1883 in northwestern Arizona.
VRX is proud to be leading the Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI)/Quality Assurance (QA) team, which also includes 5 other companies handling inspection services and QA testing. VRX is working on behalf of the Owner’s Representative for the Hualapai Tribe on a 34-project suite, which includes a 68-mile waterline, a new administration building, and a recreational park, among other infrastructure projects. VRX is a subconsultant to prime consultant Consor.
As part of the ongoing program, VRX will also lead efforts to assess the needs of the Hualapai Tribe Organization and develop a training program to best utilize the Tribe’s resources and staff. This will include training Tribe members to develop new physical skills, such as operating heavy equipment, and also help Tribal members develop soft skills, such developing an overall pavement assessment and management program to complete documentation requirements needed by multiple agencies. VRX will also help the organization put into place systems to enhance management of Tribal assets.
